have you watch a film titled "Back to the Future" ? a movie about a mad scientist and a looser teenager named Marty mcFly who travel both past time and future with a "futuristic" car. Maybe you also have heard a person named John Titor who travel from 2036 to 1975 to bring the first portable computer back to the future.
maybe it is so impossible to travel back to old times or maybe to future, but i guess it would be great if we could go back to the old times, we don't have to buy a photo album just to remember the moment that was happend at that time, also you don't have to pay for paranormal just to predict your future, just go to the machine, set the date and time, and voila !! you are the master of time !!
there is research that time is not just like one stream of river, time has many river but it leads to same end. so if such travel is exist, it maybe someone travel from one river to other river, which means, if you kill your parents in the old times, maybe you won't be disappeared because you live in different stream of time. but most of all, this is just a thesis and until now, it could not be proved that time travel is exist.
anyway, don't take it too serious, :)
